FOX RUN FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

Description

The Family Resource Center (FRC) at Fox Run Elementary School helps to connect families, the school and community through programs such as early and family literacy, Adult ESL, Parents As Teachers family support, positive youth development programs and training support for home-based daycare providers.

While it does not operate a preschool, the FRC at Fox Run School helps families find quality childcare for children age birth - middle school. In addition, before and after-school enrichment programs are provided at Fox Run School.

The Family Resource Center provides free developmental screenings for all Norwalk children age 4 to 60 months. Please call for an appointment.

The FRC also provides SummerCare, an extended day summer program wrapping around the hours of the Norwalk Parks and Recreation Dept.'s Summer Play and Learn program.

The Family Resource Center also provides training and support for Norwalk home-based daycare providers. Providers should call or visit the FRC website for current information on programs.

ELIGIBILITY: Priority is given to families of children attending or who will attend Fox Run Elementary School. However, many programs, such as adult ESL, parenting and daycare workshops, are open to all Norwalk residents.
