BOY SCOUTS - CT YANKEE COUNCIL

Description

Connecticut Yankee Council (formerly Fairfield County Council and Quinnipiac Council) serves about 25,000 Cub Scouts (boys in first through fifth grades); Boy Scouts (boys ages11-17); Ventures and Explorers (young men and young women ages 14-20); Learning for Life participants (boys and girls in grades K-12), and provides special outreach to urban youth with an Urban ScoutReach program. Thirty-seven(37) communities in Fairfield, Hartford, and New Haven counties are served. While known as a fun, educational, values-driven, family-oriented program, Scouting's purposes are citizenship training, character development, and personal and mental fitness.
