CHARTER OAK PASS

Description

The Charter Oak Pass provides access to the State Parks and Forests and is available free only to Connecticut's senior citizens, 65 years of age or older. The Pass is good for lifetime use and may be used at all day use areas in CT State Parks and Forest Recreation areas including Gillette Castle and Dinosaur State Parks, Fort Trumbull State Park, Quinebaug Valley Hatchery fishing ponds and boat launching areas. It is not valid for camping. Seniors who hold a 1998-1999 Charter Oak Pass do not need to apply for a new pass - it is good for lifetime use. Note: Norwalk area residents may obtain a pass in person at Sherwood Island State Park, Monday-Friday between 9am and 3pm. Proof of age and residency is required. To obtain a pass by mail, send a legible photocopy of your current driver's license as proof of age and residency to the Hartford address listed above. Please do not write on the copy or attach a letter or note of any kind.
