PROJECT FRIENDSHIP & JR PROJECT FRIENDSHIP VOLUNTEERING

Description

FCA's Project Friendship and Jr. Project Friendship Programs match volunteers with children ages 6-14 who are in need of a one-on-one mentor in a community-based program. Project Friendship matches adults with children 6-14 years of age. Jr. Project Friendship matches high school juniors and seniors, who can drive, with children 6-12 years of age. Mentors must be able to commit 2-3 hours per week and be able to serve for a minimum of one year. Background checks, interviews, home visits, and trainings are required before a volunteer can be matched with a child. On-going supervision is provided to mentors throughout the life of the relationship for guidance and support.
