Connecticut Energy Assistance - provides vendor payments for home heating costs in times of need for households with incomes between 0% and 150% of the federal poverty income guidelines. It also provides direct payments to income-eligible rental households that have primary home heating costs included in their rent. State Appropriated Fuel Assistance - provides vendor payments for home heating (electricity, gas, oil, etc.) costs for households that include a person or persons 60 years of age and over, or physically/mentally disabled persons who reside in households with incomes between 150% and 200% of the federal poverty income guidelines.
The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) 2014-2015 CEAP season will reopen on November 1, 2014. Many community action agency sites will be taking applications this year beginning in August.
