The School Based Health Centers provide accessible, high quality medical and mental healthcare to adolescents at the three high schools and Nathan Hale Middle School students while school is in session.
Healthcare Services include physicals, diagnosis and treatment of illness and minor injuries, sport physicals, immunizations, nutrition counseling and health education. Staff includes a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and part-time Pediatrician.
Mental Healthcare Services include crisis intervention, psychiatric and medication evaluation and medication management. Individual, group and family counseling are available. When necessary, referrals may be made to outside health specialists (these services may involve a cost to the students.)
Staffed by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a licensed Advance Practice RN or Physician's Assistant, a Social Work Supervisor, a consulting Adolescent Psychiatrist and a Program Director. These professionals work closely with school personnel.
