LITERACY VOLUNTEERS PROGRAM AT NORWALK PUBLIC LIBRARY

Description

LVSFC has several volunteer opportunities.  Volunteers, with the support of trained professional staff, are an integral part of the services being delivered to some of this area’s most needy adults.  It is only with the help of altruistic-minded volunteers that LVSFC is able to positively impact the lives of more than 1,000 adults each year.  Volunteer opportunities are tailored to availability.  Volunteers can choose from one or more of the following areas ( Just to name a few ):

Tutor (Basic Literacy or ESOL)

Office Support

Computer Lab Assistant

 

Literacy development programs are offered in:

Basic Literacy (Classes in reading and writing English)

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Workplace Literacy
