RECONNECTING FAMILIES PROGRAM (RFP)

Description

The Reconnecting Families Program (RFP) provides clinical support for families whose child(ren) are placed out of the home by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) whose goal is reunification. The RFP therapist will work with prior to and after the reunification for a total of six months.  Families will participate in weekly therapeutic supervised visits prior to the child(ren) returning to the home and support once reunification has occurred. RFP’s guiding principles are that the safety of children is the first priority, that all services shall be child centered and family focused, that all families are valued and respected, and that the diversity and strength of families is respected and utilized to improve family functioning.  The program lasts for six months.
